THEY SAY: “Slim Twig is a man, not always a band. I’ve played with other musicians, and still do sometimes. But mostly I am one dude named Slim. But not in a bullshit confessional acoustic way.”

WE SAY: It isn’t possible to get more post-modern pop than this. Slim Twig creates a bewildering pastiche of early Rock’n'Roll and experimental noise art using modern production techniques to result in a truly original sound. Enough found-sound, dark ambience, and lack of traditional structure to be experimental. Enough twangy guitars, 50s samples, and slap back delay for rockabilly. There are obvious influences of Lou Reed, Nick Cave and other sombre, beyond genre artists; but in today’s new music culture there are very few like Slim.

YOU’LL LIKE THIS IF YOU LIKE: Unintelligible but razor-sharp lyrics, genre twisting, and occasionally having the shit scared out of you.
