WHAT’S THE STORY?: Forming as Mumrah in 2000, The Display Team have honed their strange and original sound into the surreal pronk they play today. They changed their name to The Display Team in 2006. The six piece have toured extensively, reaching as far as the Czech Republic. For some reason BBC 6 Music have even subjected their unsuspecting listeners to a dose of The Display Team.

GIGS: Having shared a stage with 05/06/2009 @ 93 Feet East, Camden / 18/06/2009 @ The Fox, London / 18/07/2009 @ Mighty Sounds Festival, Olší u Opařan, CZ
THEY SAY: “Have you ever been beaten round the face by a choirboy? Or felt up by a clown? Have you ever had your feet tickled by Satan? No? Can you imagine what it might SOUND LIKE? No need! Here’s The Display Team, London’s premier exponents of music that does all of the above and a bunch of stuff you’d never have thought of.”
WE SAY: If The Display Team are this good, then maybe getting felt up by a clown isn’t as bad as it first sounds. After listening to music like this, you could find yourself waiting with anticipation for the next time the circus comes to town.
YOU’LL LIKE THIS IF YOU LIKE: Spinning around until you puke because you like the warmth of digested food against your chest.
