NAME: Call The Doctor
GENRE: Rock/Indie/Alternative
SOUNDS LIKE: A raucous yet tuneful mish-mash of Sleater-Kinney, Yeah Yeahs Yeahs and The Kills.
LOCATION: Bristol, UK
LINE UP: Patti (vocals/guitar), Rob (guitar/vocals), Chris (bass), John (drums)

WHAT’S THE STORY?: Frontlady Patti is from New Zealand, the rest of the band are from the UK. They met in Bristol in 2008, and quickly set about realising their dream of producing “danceable but dirty guitar sounds”. Their misson? To lure the kids of the Bristol scene away from indie discos and back to live music. Judging by the following they’ve built up in the South West, this mission is well and truly accomplished. Peddling their sounds to the rest of the country is the next step in their quest for domination…
RELEASES: Debut mini-album ‘CTD’ released in October 2009.
GIGS: Having just finished a small UK tour in support of their debut mini-album, Call The Doctor have already booked a handful of dates for the new year in London and the South West, with more sure to follow.
THEY SAY: “…like The Kills playing a Blondie cover to pay their respects to the passing of CBGBs” Fierce Panda records. “They melt down PJ Harvey and Elastica records into one gooey whole” 24/7 Magazine
WE SAY: With strong songs and a dynamic live show, Call The Doctor are captivating to watch and equally thrilling to listen to.
YOU’LL LIKE THIS IF YOU LIKE: Cool and confident noisy girl-fronted noisy guitar pop with tunes that won’t leave your head for days.
