THEY SAY: ‘Their sometimes angular but mostly aggressive, amp-melting blend of rock riffs and contemporary alt-noise has seen them climb to the top of Leeds’ musical pile and establish themselves as one of the most essential new acts in Britain. ‘

WE SAY: For those who shed a tear or two when art-punk heroes the Blood Brothers went their separate ways, Pulled Apart By Horses have come along to hijack the vacant space in your heart.

Pulled Apart by Horses create a vitriolic cacophony of noise, combining the best elements of hardcore, melodic punk, pop and even a few pounding disco beats here and there. The urgent vocals yelp, squeal and propel the convulsing racket into a joyus aural riot that has rightly earned the band wide acclaim and success at last summer’s festivals.

This summer they are hitting the road again, hoping to extend their ever growing fanbase playing an extensive list of dates including high profile slots at the iTunes Festival with Biffy Clyro, Reading festival and in support of rock behemoths Muse.

Despite their relatively short life so far, Pulled Apart By Horses have already gained notoriety for their chaotic, aggressive shows in which band members have previously been injured. Definitely a spectacle to check out and lose yourself in this summer!
Their debut, self-titled album is out now on Transgressive records; a roaring success from start to finish, a frantic collection of twitching, thrashing tracks which promise to become firm favourites on your iPod.

Pulled Apart by Horses have enough imagination and energy to set them far, far apart from the other contenders in the UK hardcore scene, an awesome band who deserve a great future.

YOU’LL LIKE THIS IF YOU LIKE: Noisy, challenging music that you can shake your ass to.
