Tell us who you are and where you’re from.
We are 4 guys individually from Ireland, Scotland, England & Wales who met and formed a rock band that’s now based in Brighton UK.
Describe your music.
Rock n’ roll with a modern swagger!
Tell us how the band formed in three sentences.
Peter: Jam and I have been performing and writing together for a while now. We met Mitch & NJ through various other bands and friends of ours.
What did you do before you were in a band?
Peter: I was studying for a music degree. NJ was living in LA. Mitch was a movie extra.
Jam: I was living in London trying to find a great singer to work with and put a band together.
List the first CDs/records each of you bought.
Peter: I can’t be totally sure but I think mine was Maniac 2000. I think I was ten at the time, not very rock n roll but to this day I still like the song. Oggy oggy oggy?
Jam: ‘Razor’s Edge’ AC/DC
Mitch: Ah man I was really late with buying my first CD as I just used to steal what I liked from my older brother’s and dad’s music collections. So think I was around 14 when I bought my first CD – Foo Fighters’ ‘One by One’.
NJ: Michael Jackson’s ‘Thriller’. Still blows my mind to this day.
What’s the band up to over the next few months?
Jam: We’re just finishing up our debut EP at the moment and we’ll be releasing that in June. We’re also doing a short UK tour with Australian rockers Tracer, which will be great.
Best item of fan mail you’ve ever received?
NJ: Anyone that goes out of their way to make or buy something for you is the best in my books, whatever it may be.
Mitch: Fan art is always cool and beads/bracelets are my kind of my thing. When fans send that kind of stuff, it’s always nice.
What music do you have on repeat in the tour bus?
Peter: Mainly we keep the iPod on shuffle. Last time we were blasting out the Dumb and Dumber soundtrack – a seriously great record!
What gear do you use?
Jam: Les Paul & Old Marshall amps.
Mitch: I’m a massive fan of vintage sounding basses and Sid Vicious is one of my idols. I play a vintage White Precision bass with the same aesthetics as Sid’s bass and play that through a Gallien-Krueger 1001RB-II rig.
NJ: I use DW Drums, Zildjian Cymbals, Remo Heads, Vic Firth Sticks.
What’s your best on-tour story?
Jam: Well most recently, last week, whilst travelling on the London to Brighton train, Peter – after a few pints of Guinness – managed to somehow accidentally press the emergency stop button and delayed the whole train. That was pretty funny.
Mitch: Just after playing at Sonisphere in Madrid, I had finished showering backstage and was on a hyper one. I thought I was alone, so was busting out some shapes while getting changed to turn round and see Fred Durst of Limp Bizkit staring at me with a bemused face as if to say “who the fuck is this giant dude thrusting in union jack boxers!?”
NJ: One that stands out has to be me spilling vodka all over the girlfriend of Vince Neil from Motley Crue on the first night of their European Tour.
