The band formed mainly through recommendation. We came together in a plot to make music that was exciting and of substance. We had the same shared love of music so it was a natural assembly.

We are Anavris from in and around Glasgow Scotland.

Big guitars, big choruses, big drums, big bass

4. What are you doing over the next few months?
Touring to promote our new record “11 eyes of a simple man.” At the same time we have been writing material for the follow up.

Chris Mckeown (DRUMS/VOX) – Nevermind – Nirvana
Chris Alexander (VOX/GUITAR) – Around the fur – Deftones.
Neil slorance – (BASS/VOX) – A Chilli Peppers Records
Ben Flectcher – (GUITAR/VOX) It was a Nirvana record of some sort.

6. Best item of fan mail you’ve ever recieved?
From a girl in Edinburgh who said she’d been waiting her whole life for our songs, I thought that was amazing.

7. What music do you have on repeat in the tourbus?
All the Reuben Albums, A lot of Oceansize.

8. Any funny stories from when you’ve been on tour?
Haha, yes. We nearly got killed by the Hells Angels in Nottingham Rock City. It was a few years ago, we got talking to one of the girls that works there and this big fucking dude came over and threw a drink over Wee Chris (drums). He threw his right back. Anyway he turned out to be Hells Angels security, so they dragged us out the back!! Fuck, that was scary. We got away thankfully.

9. What is the best thing about being in your band?
The fun times make it all worth while. There’s nothing better than getting to play your own music every night.
