INTERVIEW: Curry & Coco

RHV: Tell us who you are and where you're from?.
Sylvain : We are Curry & Coco, a duet based in north France. I'm Sylvain, and I sing and play synthesizers...
Thomas : Hi, I'm Thomas, I play drums and do the backing vocals.

RHV: Describe your music.
T : We like to describe our music as "Pop De Danse".
S : Pop songs to make you get physical!

RHV: Tell us how the band formed in three sentences.
T : We used to play with toys together. We learned music together. We formed the band together.

RHV: What did you do before you were in a band?
S : I was dreaming of being in a band!
T : I was a stunt man.

RHV: List the first CDs/records each of you bought.
S : For me it was an audio tape of the soundtrack from the movie "Back To The Future".
T : My very first vinyls were The Police, Serge Gainsbourg and Verdi.

RHV: What's the band up to over the next few months?
S : Gigs & gigs & gigs! We'll be touring UK from May 14th till 21st

RHV: Best item of fan mail you've ever received?
S : Jean Charles De Castelbajac can't stop to post nice things on our Facebook wall. Cool fan, isn't it?

RHV: What music do you have on repeat in the tourbus?
T : Rod Stewart, "Have You Ever Seen The Rain". Our happy-tourbus song of the moment.

RHV: What gear do you use?
S : We use vintage instruments exclusively. And no computer or sample on stage... It is very important for us to stay a proper "live" band, we need the music to be physical and alive. Both of my synths were build in 83, same thing for the drums.

RHV: What's your best on tour story?
S : Unfortunately, the best ones are exactly the ones that can't be told...
T : Even the one with a tiger, a white snake and those three girls... God! Big time...

RHV: What do you demand on your rider?
S : Nothing special really, when we come in the UK, we generally ask for a "rendez vous", some "petits pains", a bottle of "bon vin rouge" and some "baguette"... Nothing special, as you can see we are not that French.

RHV: What's your website?
