1. Tell us who you are and where you’re from.
Hi there, we are Impact and we hail from St. Neots, Cambridgeshire.
2. Describe your music.
We play full on hardcore, with tunes and melodies.
3. Tell us how the band formed in three sentences.
We originally formed in 2001 with Mike the guitarist, our ex singer and a drum machine. We’ve had a few line up changes over the years. The current lineups been together for two years, finally totally gelling together…
4. What did you do before you were in a band?
Well that was a long time ago! All of us have always been into bands and music, so used to go and see a lot of shows. Also just hanging around doing not a lot of anything!
5. List the first CDs/records each of you bought.

6. What’s the band up to over the next few months?
We have a few gigs coming up, but mainly writing material for our album.
7. Best item of fan mail you’ve ever received?
I don’t think we’ve ever received any fanmail! Rory keeps some bras in his bass drum that have been hurled onstage mid set…
8. What music do you have on repeat in the tourbus?
We listen to all sorts of stuff. Obviously a lot of hardcore, but a lot of stuff you wouldn’t imagine. Rocking up to venues blurting out some 80’s cheese always raises a few eyebrows!
9. What gear do you use?
Mike – Fender, Epiphone guitars. Hughes and Kettner Warp T amp/cab.
Crandall – Epiphone guitars. Marshall amp/cab.
Kev – Tokai Bass. Ampeg SVT2 amp/cab.
Rory – Yamaha kit, DW snare, Paiste cymbals.
Ian – Sure Mics.
10. What’s your best on-tour story?
A few comedy van breakdowns. Best one is probably Vinnie Stigma from Agnostic Front loving the band when we supported them, then wearing one of our T-shirts onstage at the Camden Underworld and urging the crowd to ‘Go check Impact out!’
11. What do you demand on your rider?
Obviously some Crystal Brut Champagne, Foie Gras, and Angel Dust…
