Scottish Melodic Hardcore quintet Burn the Sunset drop their bone-crunching debut album ‘Home’ this February. Binding earnest brutality and enthralling melodies, it’s one potent slice of blistering metallic hardcore.
Burn The Sunset were originally conceived back in 2008 by five fiery individuals intent on crafting a sound that would inspire and attack the senses. The five piece are absolutely dedicated to their craft, and it shows. Sharing a mutual affection and subsisting on a dietary intake of monster riffs and ear shattering hooks, Burn The Sunset have carved out a sound that is unmistakably hard-hitting and intense, yet still highly original; and that’s no easy feet given the current influx of today’s metalcore bands. Burn The Sunset cite the likes of Bury Your Head, Your Demise and UK new guns ‘Heights’ as influences; though they’ve taken something from their predecessors, they’ve managed to sculpture a sound all their own.
After three years of tireless song-writing and many sweat-drenched UK shows, sharing stages and touring with Never Cry Wolf, Your Demise, While She Sleeps, For The Fallen Dreams, Bleed From Within, and It Prevails, Burn The Sunset have emerged from the pits of the underground with their ferocious debut offering, ‘Home’. The album is brimming with killer tunes and ideally showcases the Stirling caustic crew. The record is certainly not for the light-hearted. ‘Home’ is a prime slab of modern metallic hardcore, showcasing eight astronomically beefy cuts. The record ejects enduring riffs and aggressive hollerings that spew out from your speakers. Entwined with boundless demonstrations of fiery youth and sophisticated dynamics, the record is sure to catapult the band to the forefront of the UK scene.
