Caitlin Rose news

Ahead of her forthcoming debut album ‘Own Side Now’ in August, Caitlin Rose has announced the release of her first single, the breathtaking ‘For the Rabbits’, on 26th July 2010.

Caitlin will be in the UK this summer at various festivals including Green Man and End of the Road, for a sample of her sweet live performance check out her recent session for Daytrotter:

‘For the Rabbits’ is an epic saccharine-free, strings soaked (arranged by Jordan Lehning) ballad depicting a fractured relationship where she laments “Why is your love like rubber, he said/ Or gum stuck under my shoe?/ Leaving it there to avoid the risk of/ Making a mess out of you”. Even more remarkable when you realise it was written when Caitlin was sixteen years of age.

The B-side features a piano version of ‘T-Shirt’, one of the many highlights from the ‘Dead Flowers’ EP. Sighing strings and gentle tambourines have been added, complimenting the beautiful piano composition by the Rod Kelly.

Fans can currently download a free Mp3 sampler track of the album in the form of new song ‘Sinful Wishing Well’. Simply visit this link:
