DEAD CITY RUINS – ASPIRING ANGLO-AUSSIE ROCK UNIT RELEASE DEBUT ALBUM AND TOUR THROUGHOUT EUROPE THIS SUMMER!

Dead City Ruins spit out a lethal cocktail of rock & roll, mixing classic heavy metal with bluesy stoner rock dashed with the danger of punk. The Australian noise chiefs finally release their debut album ‘Midnight Killer’ in the UK on 23rd July.
Wasting no time, Dead City Ruins have earned a reputation for delivering shows that are pure balls-to-the-wall rock with a no-holds-barred attitude. The guys live, eat, and breathe rock n’ roll and show no signs of letting up.
The rock crew were originally formed in London back in 2007, during which time they sought out to play as many shows and flea pits as humanly possible. The quintet released their debut EP ‘Lost In London’ around this time, which garnered strong coverage throughout the underground. However, by 2010, the dynamic rockers realised that a fresh approach and new direction were needed. The band upped sticks and moved to Melbourne, Australia in 2010 and later settled on their current line-up featuring old school mates Tommy (Lead Guitar), Blanchy (Rhythm Guitar), and Drewsy( Drums), and long term friends Jake (Vocals) and Mike (Bass). Since then there has been no stopping the Rock ‘n Roll rascals; the band have extensively toured throughout England, Dubai, and their homeland, Australia, racking supports with Veins Of Jenna (Swe/US), Faster Pussycat (US), and Wraith (UK) in the process. The riff monsters recently played a mammoth fifty plus shows in eleven different countries and notched up 28,000 kms along the way. Rock ‘n Roll indeed. Even more so, given the fact that the band drove every inch in their depleted old LDV minivan!
A purely independent outfit, Dead City Ruins have arranged all touring, recording, promotion, and distribution solely off their own backs, an admirable feat and impressive achievement. Fuelled with an uncompromising persistence to play shows whenever and wherever possible, the band give their all at every show and this has earned the live-wired quintet a formidable reputation, and rightly so.
The band are geared to invade Europe yet again later this year in support of their debut album ‘Midnight Killer’, which finally sees the light of day after been locked away for the past year. DCR will play dates with fellow Oz rockers ‘Wolfmother’, ‘Gojira’, and US superstars ‘Mastodon’, as well as recording their second full length album at the foot of the year. Hit up the band’s Facebook page for tour dates and just watch the band rise!
