Guildford based Progressive Death Metallers ‘Doomed From Day One’ hurl out their debut EP ‘The Wasted World’ on 14th November 2011 through indie imprint ‘Noise Control Records’ and all digital outlets.

Bringing savage live shows and dynamic drive, the freshly-formed five piece ‘Doomed From Day One’ are rapidly climbing the ranks in the British metal scene. Pulling together and cunningly merging the key elements of Prog, Melo-death and Hardcore, DFDO create a fiery hybrid that ultimately compacts the truly engaging components of Death Metal. Make no mistake, Doomed From Day One are a real prospect. They are everything a true metal band should be: aggressive, heavy, energetic and utterly uncompromising.

Ever since their inception at the tail end of 2009, the ferocious South-Coast Death-metallers have quickly built momentum and already have an impressive underground following throughout the UK. Prominent supports with the likes of Malefice, Martyr Defiled, The Defiled and Gallows have only aided in DFDO’s swift ascension, but never ones to shy away from touring, the enterprising quintet will tour the UK again this November; hit up for tour announcements.

Doomed From Day One entered the recording studio in April 2011 with Andy Hayball (‘Bring Me The Horizon,’ Ast. Engineer) to lay down cuts for their very first record. The fivesome came out of the studio armed with a blistering debut EP. The aptly titled ‘The Wasted World’ is a fiery wedge of Prog Death Metal that has enough power and precision to rip your face off at ten paces! Right from the pounding guitars and intervening deep-roaring growls of ‘Pretending’, through to the colourful pacey guitars of the EP’s namesake, ‘The Wasted World,’ the band have orchestrated a truly brutal record. Doomed from Day One are now all primed to rigorously rattle your eardrums.
