“Genuinely anthemic… staggeringly well put together.” – 5/5 BLACK VELVET MAGAZINE
“FFD are able to hone and focus their influences into a controlled, melody-driven sound, complete with positive lyrics and a smattering of restrained but punchy heaviness. This is fresh, summertime music. – ROCKSOUND MAGAZINE
-“The Filipino-British trio’s mix of soul rock collides with fast punk rhythms on this passionate debut single about following your dreams. Ones to watch.” 4/5 BIG CHEESE
ROUSING DEBUT ALBUM UNLEASHED THIS MAY!
Powerhouse London three-piece FIREFALLDOWN aren’t your typical rock band. The band have robed themselves as sonic missionaries, intent on using the power of music to convey life’s larger messages of sacrifice, truth, and love. Far from softening their sound however, their collective drive pumps their music with passionate beats, skilfully tailored melodies, and a surprisingly hard edge. Taking cues from everything from motown and jazz to new wave and hardcore, they’ve cultivated an acutely polished sound akin to the likes of Red Hot Chili Peppers and Blink 182.
Spawned in London in the Summer of 2006, the Filipino-British trio hit the road relentlessly, touring throughout the UK, Philipines, Poland, and the U.S. Their vigorous live shows have been described as ‘dynamic, intriguing and underpinned by a refreshing intelligence’. They soon released two singles, which received airplay on Kerrang! TV, Scuzz, and XFM, and also bagged opening slots for rock kings ‘Coheed and Cambria’.
FIREFALLDOWN are now primed to launch their debut album ‘These Wounds’, under the newly formed Small Town Records sub-label, ‘Love Music Movement’, in May 2012. Dextrously forging enticing melody and hearty riffage with clever off-kilter phrasing, their debut album is as impassioned as it is seasoned, showcasing their adept ability to serve up colossal hooks alongside potent lyrics. The trio’s current video single and album header ‘These Wounds’ is currently gracing TV screens, and never ones to take it easy the band will also be headlining the 150 Fest UK-wide tour next spring. Keep an eye on these ones; they’re moving forward fast.
