FIST FULL OF LIES – ASPIRING UK PUNK ROCK QUARTET ‘FIST FULL OF LIES’ STEP UP AND BRING THEIR DEBUT RECORD TO THE NATION THIS SUMMER.

Armed with an explosive debut record that oozes innovative ideas and is peppered with hooky riffs, Norwich based post-hardcore foursome ‘Fist Full Of Lies’ drop their debut EP entitled “If It Wasn’t For This I’d Still Have Everything”, through all digital outlets on 9th July.
Taking prompts from an array of quarters ranging from Alexisonfire, At The Drive-In, Deaf Havana, and Avenged Sevenfold, to the likes of Polar Bear Club, Gallows, and The Bronx, Fist Full Of Lies formed in August 2010 with blood brothers Ben Taylor (lead vocals and guitar) and Sam Taylor (guitar/backing vocals) and fellow comrades Ash Griffiths (drums and vocals), and Rikki Assuncao (bass). Since their inception, the band sought out new pathways to deliver a sound that is diverse, challenging, and brimming with raw passion.
With the release of a free download which was widely distributed in 2010 and by playing a cluster of shows across the length and breadth of England, the band have supported the likes of Atlas&I, Evarose, Everything Burns, Mallory Knox, Mishkin, and Depth, and have further dates in the pipeline with The First, Never Means Maybe, and Fei Comodo. Fist Full Of Lies show no signs of letting up, and why should they? The impassioned post-hardcore crew are building a stellar reputation for their fierce, energetic, and at times, unpredictable live shows. There’s no doubt that they’ll be hitting your doorstep any day.
Fist Full Of Lies now look to take their music to a national level in the shape of their debut EP ‘If It Wasn’t For This I’d Still Have Everything’. The EP instantly takes flight with the punchy dual-prong vocal attack of ‘Curses’ and sweeps onwards to the ballsy rhythmic lashes of ‘I am Jack’s Lingering Regret’. Up next is ‘Waiting’ which showcases the band’s off-kilter twisted dynamics, managing to unleash a fist-in-the-air anthemic refrain that will loiter in your cranium for days. And drawing the record to a fitting finale is ‘Bitterness Got The Better Of Me,’ which rounds off the EP to a climatic close.
