CC: “Hailing from Bristol and fresh from a stint of European tours with the likes of Korn, Dimmu Borgir and Dinosaur Pile Up, Turbowolf are a force to be reckoned with. Theirs is a sledgehammer of a sound…heavy guitar rock reverberating in an apocalyptic disco playing your favourite tunes.”

CC: “Named after a political epithet used to criticise politicians supporting war, this Leeds-based four piece has got to be one of the most explosive and exciting live bands in the UK at the minute. Their recently released new album, ‘Modern Bodies’, will certainly blow the cobwebs off any impending winter doldrums…and then some.” www.myspace.com/chickenhawk

CC: “Hedoniacs may be from South London, but to us this four piece is more reminiscent of their American noise-rock counterparts. Their hazy fuzzed up gritty rock & roll lends a nod to At The Drive In at their height with their own unique polish. The band recently recorded their first material with Brendan Lynch (Primal Scream) and Dave Eringa (Manic Street Preachers). Very promising indeed!”

CC: “These five young lads relocated to London from the wilds of Suffolk to deliver their big, heavy pop songs with sweeping choruses to the Capital. Certainly the most theatrical of the artists on the bill, FVK 100% look the part. Their powerful live display builds an intense connection with their audience and wins them new young fans each time they play.”

The 2011 Gaymers Camden Crawl is scheduled for Saturday 30th April and Sunday 1st May. The forthcoming May Bank Holiday event will mark the tenth edition of the Crawl since its inception in 1995.

The organisers are currently amidst plans to top this year’s star studded line up which included such luminaries as Pendulum, The Drums, Plan B, Teenage Fanclub, We Are Scientists, Lostprophets, Roots Manuva, Lightspeed Champion and Gang of Four alongside more than 200 of the brightest new hopes from the UK and abroad across its 50 official Camden area venues. Also included in cost of the ticket, the daytime fringe festival at the Crawl will continue to include a diverse schedule of Britain’s best cutting edge comedy & spoken word, an expanded poster art fair, live karaoke, cabaret and performing arts, quizzes & pub games, BBQs and a whole host of added surprises. All daytime fringe events will, of course, be accompanied by a superb line up of live music across a plethora of unique venues and outdoor stages.

The 2011 Gaymers Camden Crawl programme will kick off from midday on Saturday 30th April until the early hours of the following bank holiday Monday. Upon arrival ticket holders will receive an all access wristband (individual venue capacities permitting), programme guide, magazine and download album to help navigate their festival adventures. It is worth noting, that all 2011 festival tickets will allow access to ALL venues and no supplementary passes will be required.

As is tradition, the full venue schedules will remain secret until the event and surprise guests may appear at any time and at any venue. The top quality evening line-ups are democratically selected by a committee of music industry tastemakers, including radio DJs, club promoters, journalists and record labels with the most hotly tipped acts appearing on the bill both days and featuring on the festival’s annual free compilation album. 15% off early bird weekend tickets for the Gaymers Camden Crawl 2011 are on sale now and initial line-ups and 10th birthday celebration events will be announced January 2011.
