Herman Dune: new album Strange Moosic out in June

Fortuna POP! (under exclusive licence from City Slang) are delighted to announce the new album Strange Music from French folk-rock duo Herman Dune, to be released on 6 June 2011. Recorded in Portland, Oregon, the new album was recorded simply with a focus on composition and melody, allowing each song to shine through. Lead by David-Ivar Herman Dune’s singular vocals with drummer Cosmic Neman, this is their most “pop” album to date whilst still maintaining their unique, affably laid-back style.

The first single from the album ‘Tell Me Something I Don’t Know’ is released on 23 May and there will be a yet-to-be-revealed video shot in Austin,TX directed by Toben Seymour, starring a baby-blue Yeti and Mad Men’s Jon Hamm.

In an interview Hamm describes the plot of the video as this: “It’s a little story about a lost yeti, a lost little snowman creature, abominable snowman, who is blue and sad because he is lost; and he gets picked up by me, and I decide to try to cheer him up by taking him to a rock-and-roll show in Austin, Texas, which I think works.”

Herman Dune will be hitting the road for some UK dates in June:
4 June – Bristol – Thekla
5 June – Brighton – Coalition
6 June – London – XOYO (w/ Comet Gain)
