Mark Hole releases ‘Torture Garden’ on March 12th

‘Torture Garden’ is the heart-rending new single from Mark Hole
Released March 12th 2012

‘Utterly compelling’ – Record Of The Day

‘Wholly engrossing’ – Dots And Dashes

‘One to watch’ – Chris Hawkins BBC Radio

An anguished, stark and captivating lament, written about the heartbreak he endured following the breakdown of a cherished love affair. The lyric is loaded with intensity and regret, Mark’s soulful voice sings with despair “we were in love with the torture, broken in a garden of war”.

Never one to mince his words, Mark’s often quirky and whimsical tones can belie just how utterly compelling he truly is. Whilst supporting Tori Amos on her European tour at the end of 2011 he enthralled audiences far and wide with his sublime songs and totally engaging banter.

“…his vast audience is almost immediately hushed by the swirling, sublime Dirty’s What I Like”, wrote one reviewer following his Royal Albert Hall debut.

Mark is currently in the studio with producer Jimmy Hogarth (Amy Winehouse, Paolo Nutini, Corinne Bailey Rae) and has a number of UK dates coming up, which will include a single release launch at London’s Bowery Club on 12th March. / /
