FOLLOWING ON FROM THEIR ASSAULT OF THE USA, THE ELECTRO-ROCKERS RELEASE STUNNING DEBUT EP AND PLAN TO TAKE THEIR UK HOMELAND BY STORM……
Fast Flying Electro Rock outfit ‘Isolated Atoms’ unveil their highly alluring debut EP ‘Illuminate’ through PPS and all digital stores on 12th March 2012.
Born in the Black Country, West Midlands, Isolated Atoms supremely merge the raw, psychedelic texturing of the Cult with the electronic guile of Joy Division and the broad appeal of U2. Pooling their influences, Isolated Atoms display a sound that is unquestionably enterprising, dextrous and poignant. The ascending quartet are quickly acquiring new fans and can count both Derek Forbes (Simple Minds) and Peter Hook (Joy Division, New Order) as firm favourites and recent collaborators.
Continually moving forward and breaking boundaries with a willingness to evolve and progress, Isolated Atoms offer an inventive twist on inevitable comparisons with The Editors, White Lies and The Bravery. Where they differ is in their sheer bloody mindedness to take the ‘Electro rock’ art form in a completely different direction. A very mainstream route that bears comparisons to The Cult, U2 and the latter day, epic, movie soundtrack productions of Depeche Mode.
I dare you to listen to track 3 (‘Perception’), all four minutes sixteen seconds of it, and not imagine the credits running on a Twilight movie, such is the dark, epic, danceable bass lines of David Davies, expertly tracked by the unmistakeable voice of Grant Leon Ashman.
Having spread their wings across the Atlantic in June this year the band graced the front cover of LA Rock journal ‘All Access’ as well as attracting recognition playing numerous venues, including the legendary Whiskey a Go-Go on Sunset. The Brit-rockers now also plan to fully break the UK by releasing their stunning brand new debut EP ‘Illuminate’ which showcases four killers tracks, including the highly engaging ‘Gun In My Hand’ and a superb remix of their past single ‘Play’.
’Illuminate’ is highly engaging, anthemic and innovative and may well signal the re emergence of mainstream electronic Rock with a capital R..
