Vince Power is proud to present Priscilla Ahn plus support at The Pigalle Club, Piccadilly on Monday 29th June for her only London headline show during her trip to the UK this summer.
Due to the success of her previous visit in April, where she played to a packed audience at Bush Hall and a storming performance on Jools Holland, Priscilla Ahn makes a very welcome return to London. Having just been added to the line-up at Hard Rock Calling with Neil Young and making her debut at Glastonbury, this visit is set to be even more successful than the last!
Singer-songwriter Priscilla Ahn embarked upon her career the old-fashioned way: she packed her belongings in a car—“two guitars, clothes, and some other junk I really didn’t need to bring”—and left her Pennsylvania home for L.A. That she quickly found steady gigs at the Hotel Café, a supportive circle of fellow artists including Joshua Radin who took her out on tour, and a record deal with Blue Note Records will come as no surprise after a single listen to “Dream,” the lilting opening track of A Good Day, her 2008 full-length debut, an album grounded in folk, country and pop, yet never constrained by the dictates of any genre.
Ahn joins Eartha Kitt, Duffy, Marianne Faithfull, Sinead O’ Connor, Vonda Shepard as a female artist to have performed at the renowned intimate supper club in the heart of the West End. No stranger to the limelight however, Ahn has toured all over the world, performing with such artists as Willie Nelson, Ray LaMontagne, and Amos Lee. She’s also performed on The Tonight Show With Jay Leno, and her music has been heard in TV shows such as Grey’s Anatomy and the hugely popular movie Bride Wars.
