Robert Francis: Borderline gig and FREE downloads!

Young American singer/songwriter Robert Francis arrives in the UK next week for a headline show at London’s Borderline – Sunday, 4th December – to mark the release of his new album ‘Before Nightfall’ the following Monday, 5th December.

Ahead of the show Robert has made a three-track sampler available to download for free via the following widget. The three rare tracks are a session version of ‘Junebug’, ‘Mescaline’ live from Paris and a cover of Rolling Stones’ classic ‘Wild Horses’.

Growing up in a musical family, Robert left school as a young teenager to dedicate his life to writing and performing music. He released his 2007 debut album, ‘One By One’, at the tender age of 20 years old. Critics have compared him to legends like Bruce Springsteen and Townes Van Zandt and the next generation of alt-country acts like Wilco and Ryan Adams.

A young Robert received a guitar from Ry Cooder. He was asked to play lead guitar and most stringed instrument parts for Pete Yorn and Scarlett Johanssen on their album ‘Break Up’, as well as enlisting the help of Grammy Award-winning producer, Dave Sardy (Johnny Cash, Band of Horses) to produce his new album, ‘Before Nightfall’.
