Fortuna POP! are proud to present a taster track from ‘Ten Songs About Girls’, the new album from Tender Trap, due to hit the shops in July. The phenomenally catchy “Love is Hard Enough” is a song about a girl who just can’t get any sort of reaction out of the person she loves.

Tender Trap play indie pop-punk songs, with a feminist edge, fuzzy guitars, and bucketfuls of glorious girl harmonies. The new album was recorded at Bark studios with Brian O’Shaunghessy, after the band fell in love with his production work on the last Comet Gain LP.

This is the Tender Trap recording debut of the punk rock guitar-playing and fantastic singing of Emily Bennett, from Betty and the Werewolves, who has replaced Elizabeth Morris from Allo Darlin’ in the Trap line-up. Emily joins founder members Amelia Fletcher and Rob Pursey (who were in influential indiepop originals and John Peel favorites Talulah Gosh and Heavenly), John Stanley (aka DJ Downfall) and Katrina Dixon.

You can catch Tender Trap live on tour with the Magnetic Fields later this month, see dates below. They also play the Indietracks Festival in Derby 6-8 July.
