Wakefield based rockers The Humour unleash their debut mini-album ‘You’re Gonna Pay’ on June 14 2010, and it’s a stormer.

Having attacked the music world in a truly old school manner (gig, gig, gig – build a following!), they have honed, refined and sharpened their melodic chops into a razor sharp assault. And the six shimmering, infectious tunes that make up ‘You’re Gonna Pay’ demonstrate this effortlessly.

Since their inception in 2007, this Wakefield based quartet have dedicated themselves to playing live. Aside from numerous UK treks, this has also taken in triumphant sets at the Taste Of Chaos tour in 2007, the Reading and Leeds Festivals in 2008 as well as shows with the likes of The Used, Rise Against, Gallows, Aiden, You Me At Six, Kids in Glass Houses, The Blackout, Wombats, Fightstar, Yashin and Flood of Red.

“Playing the Reading and Leeds festivals was incredible,” says frontman James Taylor, “And we even got to hang out and have some beers with Zane Lowe and Jack Black! And this year we have been invited to play Download. It just doesn’t get any better than that!”

‘You’re Gonna Pay’ is a beautiful mix of ludicrously catchy rock and dance-worthy rhythms. From the empowering swagger of ‘Let It Go’ to the driving bump and grind of ‘Gasoline’ this is music that is FUN to listen to. Far more positive and enthused than so many of their contemporaries, The Humour will have you on your feet and MOVING!

And you can get an early sneak of these fantastic tunes at the following shows:
Sunday June 8 – Leeds, Cockpit (Album Launch Show)
Friday June 11 – Download Festival (Red Bull Stage)
