SINGLE on 19th October through Ad Altiora Records.
Wakefield based rockers The Humour return to the fray with a truly riotous and exhilarating single, ‘One More Drink’, on Oct 19 2009.
“The song is about that moment when you’re on a night out with your friend,” explains vocalist James Taylor, “And you’re feeling like you want to go home, but your friends always make you stay for one more drink. And it just might turn out that having that one more drink could lead to something amazing… such as meeting the girl of your dreams.”
Possessed of a truly barnstorming chorus, and a groove big enough to club giants it should come as no surprise that ‘One More Drink’ initially found favour as a live crowd pleaser.
‘We started taking notice of the song due to the reaction we got from playing it live,” says Taylor. “We knew we had something special when we played it at Reading Festival and within one chorus we had the whole crowd singing it back to us!”
Following on from their critically lauded self titled EP (released in July 2008), the quartet have been busy honing their infectious brand of feel-good rock into a diamond fine point. And twelve months of grin inducing activity has created a wild air of enthusiasm in The Humour camp.
“Playing the Reading and Leeds festivals was incredible,” says frontman James Taylor, “And we even got to hang out and have some beers with Zane Lowe and Jack Black!”
Add to that shows with the likes of The Used, The Wombats, Fightstar, Gallows, Kids In Glass Houses and The Blackout, and you have some blisteringly good times. Check out ‘One More Drink’ and you’ll see what we mean!
