On August 23rd, The Jim Jones Revue release High Horse, the first single off their new album Burning Your House Down. High Horse will be available as both download and 7” vinyl. A non-LP bonus track “Bag O’ Demons” comes exclusively as the b-side to the 7”.
The video for the track “High Horse”, shot in London by hotly tipped director Geraldine Geraghty, was inspired by the film The Red Shoes (about a ballerina demonically possessed by a pair of red shoes) — but with a savage rock n’ roll twist! This is Geraghty’s second time working with The Jim Jones Revue having previously shot the video for “Elemental”.
Complementing the single release, The Jim Jones Revue will play UK festival dates at Latitude and Bestival. Later this year, a world tour commences, with dates encompassing the UK, Europe, the USA, Australia and New Zealand, extending from late 2010 into 2011. Notorious for their maniacal high-energy shows, stomping rhythms and frantic fretwork, The Jim Jones Revue plan to take the planet by storm and leave a global trail of sweaty bodies and scorched earth in their wake.
