THE JOLLY BOYS ANNOUNCE LONDON SHOW AT 100 CLUB NEXT WEEK

Following their amazing performance at The Secret Garden party last week and their appearances at Camp Bestival this weekend, The Jolly Boys have announced they will play another London show next week.

3rd August – London, Bush Hall – SOLD OUT
4th August – London, 100 Club – JUST ANNOUNCED

Jamaica’s legendary Jolly Boys will release a new album, ‘Great Expectation’ on Wall Of Sound Records on 20th September 2010. It’s a collaborative project between Geejam’s Jon Baker andWall Of Sound’s Mark Jones and the result is 12 stunning interpretations of contemporary songs given a mento makeover. They will also be in the UK for a series of rare UK dates throughout the summer months.

‘Rehab’, the first single to be taken from the Jolly Boys’ forthcoming album. It’s a fantastic version of the song made famous by Amy Winehouse, uniquely interpreted in the mento music style and a perfect accompaniment to the heady days of summer. And their version has Amy’s full seal of approval – she’s a huge fan of the band and went to Jamaica recently to see them play.

‘I’m flattered that ‘Rehab’ is now a part of Jamaican heritage. The Jolly Boys are part of that heritage. If it was good enough for Errol Flynn it’s good enough for me!’
Amy Winehouse
