The Polyamorous Affair unveil new single – released April 16th

LA future disco duo The Polyamorous Affair will be releasing their single ‘Whoever Controls The Groove’ on April 16th through Winter Palace Records. The track is accompanied by remixes from Ghosting Season, Bright Light Bright Light and two remixes from Enjoyed.
A shimmering slice of synthpop, ‘Whoever Controls The Groove’ is a playful, avant-electro anthem which offers a lighter shade side to the band’s sound than last single ‘Fantasy’. From the chiming rhythm to the insatiable vocal hook, the track takes equal influence from Studio One era disco to modern electro.
‘Whoever Controls The Groove’ is accompanied by a series of remixes. Manchester electronic duo Ghosting Season, who have previously remixed the likes of Radiohead and Cloud Control, have created a euphoric and uplifting take on the track. Further accentuating the carefree nature of the song, Bright Light Bright Light’s remix is a bold homage to 90s dance. Newcomer Enjoyed has provided two extended remixes of the track, Sunlight and Moonlight. From Balearic pop rhythms to chilled out house, both remixes display Enjoyed’s rich musical palette whilst maintaining the playful nature of the original track.
The Polyamorous Affair are Eddie Chacon and Sissy Sainte-Marie. The married couple have been creating underground electro tracks since 2008 and will this year be releasing their album ‘The Future Isn’t What It Used To Be’. Working with the likes of Bobb Bruno of Best Coast who has produced tracks for the album, ‘The Future Isn’t What It Used To Be’ will be The Polyamorous Affair’s most ambitious and sonically diverse project yet.
‘Whoever Controls The Groove’ The single will be available to download from April 16th from iTunes and all good digital retailers.
