The UK’s biggest Online Talent Contest Announces Live Annual Finalists!

1Click2Fame – £100k Annual Final, 17th June 2010, 1001 Club, Brick Lane, London

Hopefuls around the UK eagerly await an event that could decide their fate, as 1Click2Fame enters the final stage of this year’s competition. And the reward? The eventual winner will scoop a £100,000 Sponsorship deal to help them progress to the next stage of their career!

Following its inaugural competition last year, has taken over the net. With more than 36,000 members, and 500,000 unique monthly visitors, this platform for singers, dancers and variety performers to fulfil their dreams, is a talent contest that has grown beyond all expectations. This year a whole new wave of wannabe superstars have been busy fervently promoting their efforts. On 1Click2Fame it’s up to the acts to build an army of fans via social networking. Fans vote to keep acts in the competition, and the UK public get to decide who they think should walk away with the life-changing prize.

The Basics:

Twelve acts have earned the right to compete in the Annual Final by making it through a series of monthly and Quarterfinal rounds. For Quarterfinal1 winners Euphoria Audio this will be the culmination of a year-long campaign. The winners and two runners-up from each of our three Quarterfinals are through to the Annual Final, which kicks off on 10th June.

Three wildcard entries have also made the cut, hand-chosen by the ‘Star Coaches’ – more on them below. The Quarterfinal winners have already won £25k in sponsorship, which includes £5k for a professional video shoot. Since winning Quarterfinal2 back in November, Kate McGill has been hard at work in the studio, song-writing in preparation for her gigs later this summer.

Online voting starts 10th June, with the ultimate winner announced at the live Annual Final on 17th June. Performing on the night will be the three Quarterfinal winners and 1Click2Fame’s 2009 winner, Lucie Evans.

Since winning Lucie has had a whirlwind year, developing her career as a professional recording artist, and working with the best in the music industry. 16-year old Lucie was whisked off to LA to record with celebrated producer and songwriter Marshall Altman, the American Idol hit-maker who is currently working with Cheryl Cole and Natasha Bedingfield. Lucie also hit a whistle-stop promo tour, being interviewed by the likes of Perez Hilton and MTV Digs – showing her true star quality as she shone in the spotlight. She even performed at this year’s MusExpo in LA, where she got a special mention from legendary music promoter Harvey Goldsmith as an exciting new artist to watch.

Now, Lucie’s career continues to be guided by the 1Click2Fame industry support network who are in talks with various film companies and EA Games to use her music in advance of her debut album, which is due for release early next year.

Along the journey the 1Click2Fame 2010 hopefuls were guided by ‘Star Coaches’: For singing and vocal expertise there’s Stevie Lange, a world-renowned voice coach who has recorded and gigged with Stevie Wonder, Queen, Elton John and Marvin Gaye, and has coached the likes of Paolo Nutini, Girls Aloud, Robbie Williams, Jamie Cullum and The Sugababes.

Mentoring the dance entrants was Kate Prince, the twinkle-toed entrepreneur responsible for choreography in the West End musical smash Into the Hoods. Kate also runs the flourishing hip hop dance company ZooNation, who have performed at prestigious events such as the Beijing Olympic Games, the opening ceremony of the Tour De France and Nelson Mandela’s 90th Birthday Celebration not to mention her involvement in choreographing STREETDANCE 3D, which is in cinemas now!.

And with industry insight across the board, Alex Donelly offers crucial insider knowledge and experience. Alex is the former head of music at Radio 1, was senior vice president at EMI and now works developing talent at the Academy of Contemporary Music, and with a track record that incorporates signing and development of talent such as Amy Winehouse, his instinctive feel for genuine career performers will be put to good use when sifting through the best of the talent auditions. is sponsored by Tesco and so far has given away over £150,000 worth of prizes to the next generation of entertainers, including coaching and mentor sessions, professional music video shoots, top-class industry consultancy, production equipment and editing software. The online talent competition is completely free to enter and competitors win prizes by accumulating votes from visitors and their own social network fanbases.
