We Are Not A Rock Band’s Summer Warehouse Party‏

After the roadblock success of our 1st Birthday Party, We Are Not a Rock Band return with a Summer Warehouse Party, showcasing 2 of the UK’s brightest musical prospects, Burns and Disco Of Doom, alongside our favourite residents, Bark Matter and We Are Not a Rock Band DJ’s.

The Basement – Hoxton Gallery
£5 Early bird tickets // £7 Adv. tickets // £10 Before 1am // £12 After

July 31st sees hotly tipped disco-renaissance man Burns take the stage for popular music blog WEARENOTAROCKBAND’s latest foray into the London party scene. Joining him will be rising stars Disco of Doom, making this party a dead cert to be a highlight of the summer.

Glasgow-born Burns combines the feel good factor of disco with the pounding intensity of electro. Citing acts as diverse as D Train, Daft Punk, Cassius and Donna Summer as some of his main influences, Burns’ sound is gaining him a lot of attention from both music titles and clubbers alike. His collaboration with French electronic master Fred Falke, ‘You Don’t Love Me No More’ is hotly tipped to be one the biggest anthems in both Ibiza and the UK this summer. Furthermore, the recently released European Sex Music compilation has been rewarded with rave reviews, and one of his tracks was selected by Kelis to feature on her latest album, Flesh Tone.

Disco of Doom – London-based DJ and production duo Tom Real and Ben Medcalf are on fire right now, delivering massive, dirty electro / techno tracks that are currently destroying dance floors everywhere. These boys are fast becoming some of the most sought after remixers around, and look set to be massive by the time this year is out. Their tracks boast support from AutoKratz, Tronik Youth, Etienne De Crecy, Alex Metric, Meat Katie, Acid Jacks, Fukkk Offf, Azzido Da Bass, Fake Blood and Don Rimini to name a few.

We Are Not A Rock Band’s first birthday party in March was a phenomenal success, with a one-in one-out policy by midnight. This event is expected to be just as rammed, sweaty and manic, and we would advise getting tickets early as many people were left disappointed last time.
