Weekend At Willow Festival!

Weekend At Willow: Festival Date and Spectacular Line-up Confirmed!

Saturday 25th and Sunday 26th September
Willow Farm Equestrian Centre, Faversham, Kent

Nostalgia meets cutting-edge cool at Weekend at Willow festival, rounding off the festival season with the ultimate stand-out event of the summer. With no other UK festival offering such a contrasting line-up, Weekend at Willow is a truly unique music experience, and all less than an hour from the centre of London!

Proceedings kick off on Saturday 25th with the largest School Disco ever to be staged in the UK, Weekend at Willow sees the best-loved acts of 80s and 90s lead a star-studded trip through of one of the best ever periods in pop. Featuring massive acts such as Bananarama, Chesney Hawkes, Aswad and East 17, Weekend at Willow is a chance to indulge yourself in some straight-up nostalgia as hits from the 80s and 90s are brought back to life.

Sunday 26th sees a return to the here and now, with current top 40 chart-toppers N-Dubz headlining the main stage, while Lee Ryan (of teen-pop boy-band sensations Blue), Wiley, Liz McClarnon (ex-Atomic Kitten) and UK freestyle rap champion Professor Green get the party started.

Originally scheduled to take place in May this year, the Weekend at Willow organisers pushed back the date to help take pressure off the local council after the General Election was announced. Speaking after the decision, event producer Paul King said “Although we were disappointed to have to move the festival, there’s no need to drive the council mad with licensing issues when they need to focus on the General Election – as a bit of a bonus though, September is statistically the driest month of the year!” The line-up is unaffected and artists will appear in the same scheduled order.

Having secured a further tranche of investment to produce the festival, Weekend at Willow has now brought on board a crack team of festival and music industry veterans to plan and produce the festival, ensuring that it is a rip-roaring success and the highlight of the summer festival season. Headed up by legendary music manager and promoter Paul King (Tears For Fears, Level 42, Johnny Hates Jazz) – who has sold more than 32 million records for artists he’s managed – Weekend at Willow is moving ahead at full steam to create a memorable event combining the best of new music and nostalgia favourites.

All profits from Weekend at Willow will go to support the local horse rescue centre, and organisers are looking to involve the local community as much as possible. Looking set to grow in coming years, the festival will become a key part of the Faversham event calendar, standing alongside Kent’s many other attractions.

Event producer Paul King says “We want to create a festival that is at the heart of the local community, and having the involvement and support of local people is incredibly important to us. Events like this have a huge amount to offer the area they take place in, and I know from past experience that the best way to ensure the success of a festival is to forge really positive relationships with the local community. Weekend at Willow will be a fantastic two day party; we want everyone to come along!”

Tickets are on sale NOW through SEE TICKETS and HMV. Additional acts to be announced – watch this space!
