YOUNG GUNS ‘Crystal Clear’

YOUNG GUNS release ‘Crystal Clear’ from their debut album, ‘All Our Kings Are Dead’ on July 26th.

Buckinghamshire based rockers, YOUNG GUNS, unleash the latest single from their recently released debut album ‘All Our Kings Are Dead’, in the form of ‘Crystal Clear’ on July 26th. The build up to the release of the album saw the band complete a sold-out UK headline tour, as well as appearances at the Slam Dunk and Download Festivals, not to mention a support slot with Bon Jovi on the opening night of their o2 Arena London residency.

Upon its release the album flirted with the Top 40, entering the mid-weeks at #27, before narrowly missing out on a top 40 end of week position, an impressive feat for a band self-releasing their debut album regardless.

Add to this a forthcoming schedule that includes a slot on the main stage at the Reading & Leeds festivals, and it’s plain to see why being a Young Gun is an enjoyable place to be. The release of ‘Crystal Clear’ perfectly encapsulates the feelings and aspirations, past and present of singer, Gustav Wood.

“Crystal Clear is about growing up and realising that things aren’t delivered to you on a plate,” he explains. “But, that in the face of disappointment and disillusionment, holding your head up high is something in itself to be proud of. Against all odds, I’ve managed to end up being a part of something special that really matters to me, and it has shown me the value of direction and the importance of working towards something.”

It’s safe to say, that any killing time they may have been doing previous to ‘All Our Kings Are Dead’, will be a distant memory for the quintet from High Wycombe.

The ‘Crystal Clear’ digital EP is released on Monday 26th July, and boasts new material in the form of b-sides, ‘Head and Heart’ and ‘The Art Of Shedding Skin’.
