Alberta Cross – Old Man Chicago

NAME: Alberta Cross
SINGLE: Old Man Chicago
YEAR: 2010 (March 8th)
LABEL: Ark
RATING: 5/5

FIVE WORD REVIEW: Getting bigger by the day.

LOCATION: New York

LINE UP: Petter Ericson Stakee (vocals/guitar) / Terry Wolfers (bass) / Sam Kearney (guitar) / Alec Higgins (keys) / Austin Beede (drums)

WHAT’S THE STORY?: ‘Cross have been rocking the socks off us at RHV Towers for a while now. Having just completed their first headline tour of the States, they’ll be back over here in March for a Dave Matthews Band support slot and a couple of their own headline shows.

SOUNDS LIKE: More soul than you can cram into a bible-belt church with a bit of UK grit and Scandanavian class. ‘Old Man Chicago’ is one of the highlights of their brilliant record ‘Broken Side Of Time’

YOU’LL LIKE THIS IF YOU LIKE: Neil Young or a classier Kings of Leon.
