FIVE WORD REVIEW: Haven’t I heard this before?
LOCATION: Norfolk, UK
LINE UP: Jack Burden (Lead Guitar) / Ben Morris (Rhythm Guitar) / Sam Gibbons (Vocals) / Will Askew (Drums) / Jamie Rutherford (Bass/Vocals).

WHAT’S THE STORY?:Avosetta are a five piece from Norfolk formed in 2008, with a publishing deal, soon to be released EP, and a world conquering outlook.
SOUNDS LIKE: Very solid post-hardcore with a strong melodic edge. Fans of the genre will no doubt lap this up, and there’s no reason not to. It is good music. However, other than the occasional progressive moment there is little originality here, which is a shame. Young bands can really push thing musically by being off-the-beaten-track or completely bat-shit crazy, as they have no suits or huge fan base pushing them around. Avosetta could do with developing a sound that sets them apart.
YOU’LL LIKE THIS IF YOU LIKE: Tight, melodic post-hardcore, which is so polished it could be released as a major single tomorrow.
