WHAT’S THE STORY?: Burn The Fleet administer a polished take on the post-hardcore genre, with this single that harnesses the sound of Thrice circa 2004, whilst imparting a truly British determinism.‘Blackholes’ combines melody and ferocity in a truly impressive manner. Firstly, the track opens with melodic guitars that Thursday would be proud to call their own work, before erupting into a monstrous chorus that is tailor-made for crowd sing-a-longs.

Simply put, if you preferred Thrice before they started impersonating Radiohead, or even if you have any interest in post-hardcore music at all, Burn The Fleet are enthusiastically recommended.

SOUNDS LIKE: Thrice from their Artist In the Ambulance era/

YOU’LL LIKE THIS IF: You prefer music that has melody and brutality in equal measures.
