Cars on Fire – Sharks

NAME: Cars on Fire
SINGLE: Sharks
YEAR: 2010 (May 3rd)
LABEL: Undergroove Records

FIVE WORD REVIEW: Like good clean hardcore fun!

LOCATION: Bristol, United Kingdom

LINE UP: Ali Ross (Vocals/Guitar), Steve Gregory (Bass), Jon Pick (Drums), Mike Fell (Guitar/Vocals)

WHAT’S THE STORY?: Thundering drums open this offering from this Bristol four piece – Sharks, the latest single which despite the lyrics is rather upbeat. Making way for the heavy duty yet catchy guitar you expect from a punk hard-core outfit these days. The chorus provides harmonious backing vocals which add depth to the song and make you almost want to sing along. The vocals are similar to that of an early Brock Lindow, which is never a bad thing.

SOUNDS LIKE: good fun, a great crowd pleaser. Ghost Of A Thousand

YOU’LL LIKE THIS IF YOU LIKE: Fightstar, Blessed By A Broken Heart, Ghost of a Thousand, 36 Crazyfists etc
