Charlie Indestructible – My Sweet Revenge

NAME: Charlie Indestructible
EP: My Sweet Revenge
DATE: 26July2010

LABEL: Unsigned

FIVE WORD REVIEW: Like, totally from Bedfordshire dude.

LOCATION: Bedfordshire

LINE UP: Greg Niedzwiecki (Guitar), Joe McFarlane (Bass), Mark Sowden (vocals), Jon Morris (Guitar), Tony Sowden (Drums)

WHAT’S THE STORY?: Their MySpace will tell you: “Charlie Indestructible are without doubt a fresh and vibrant take on great British Rock”… well this isn’t true. The band are from Bedfordshire, but here endeth the British Connection: the music they make is coated in a thick layer of American high school angst, and it is virtually impossible to pick out a British influence anywhere. It is a little difficult to look past the fake accents, but if you can accept Charlie Indestructible as an American Punk Pop band, they’re undeniably good at what they do.

SOUNDS LIKE: Letterman’s Jackets, Pep Rallies, cheerleaders, Keggers…and all those other typically British institutions.

YOU’LL LIKE THIS IF: You pretend to hate Panic At The Disco and Fallout Boy, but when you’re alone in your car… it’s a different story.
