WHAT’S THE STORY?: When people say an album should grab you in the first five seconds they’re talking bollocks, a good album should intrigue you in the first five seconds, not spoon feed you. Colour of Sound have truly mastered that art. ‘Take This Ride’ is a slow opening track but it sets a precedent for an incredibly mature, carefully constructed debut.

SOUNDS LIKE: The Stereophonics, if they wrote better songs. Coldplay, if they weren’t so dull and pretentious. Travis, if they made it out of the 90s.

YOU’LL LIKE THIS IF: If you think 2010 has let you down on the indie front, have heart here are some respectable young gentleman ready to take us into the breach.
