WHAT’S THE STORY?: Soloist I Alexander (aka Alex Larkman) may not have much to do with Alexander the Great as I originally thought, but he does have the potential to become “the Great” of music. His sound is reminiscent of over produced ’90’s boy bands but without sounding like a soulless twat. Quite the contrary, his songs are from the heart; they’re an original and fresh mix of softer singer-songwriter ballads with electro pop and heavily distorted guitars chugging away in the background.
SOUNDS LIKE: Daft punk teaming up with Paramore, produced by Justin Timberlake or Aaron Carter.
YOU’LL LIKE THIS IF: Daft Punk, Paramore, Justin Timberlake, Backstreet Boys, something very catchy, pop driven yet original and listenable.
