Kah – July Song

SINGLE: July Song
DATE: 14June2010

LABEL: Joy Lane Music

FIVE WORD REVIEW: Disappointment is a bitter pill

LOCATION: London, England

WHAT’S THE STORY?: The second single released from the fresh electro-popper’s debut album More Than Dawn, can it match the hype generated by her first release?

SOUNDS LIKE: We start promisingly, with a funky little beat you can imagine being provided by a particularly street-smart bumble bee, expectations are high and then it… fizzles. Spectacularly. Devolving into the cloying, soulless, summer-sweet rubbish you’d expect to hear propping up the soundtrack of the latest Pokemon movie. Considering the brilliance of Kah’s first single release ‘Goose Girl’, it’s just bitterly, bitterly disappointing. This could and should have been so much better.

YOU’LL LIKE THIS IF: You wish to feel betrayed.
