Projekt – The Compass

NAME: Projekt
SINGLE: The Compass
YEAR: 2010 (May 4th)
LABEL: Unsigned
RATING: 2/5

FIVE WORD REVIEW: A Compass without much direction

LOCATION: London

LINE UP:Neil Parry (Guitars) / Robert Powell (Vocals) / Biff Tough (Drums)/ Tom Walters (Bass)

WHAT’S THE STORY?: It seems Projekt are trying to show they are no one trick pony, however if your other tricks are disappointing stick with the ones that work. The single, ‘The Compass’ is lyrically inane and musically predictable, however, the other two tracks that accompany it ‘Heroes and Villains’ and ‘Desert Storm’ are polished likeable rock tracks and well worth persevering with.

SOUNDS LIKE: Losing direction for a while but eventually finding north again.

YOU’LL LIKE THIS IF YOU LIKE: ‘The Compass’ will appeal if you like Kasabian’s more electro moments, but if it’s brit-pop you heart desires stick with the other two tracks.
