Run From Robots – Sorry You Don’t Love Us

NAME: Run From Robots
EP: Sorry You Don’t Love Us
YEAR: 2010 (June 28th)

FIVE WORD REVIEW: Made by maniacs, for maniacs

LOCATION: South West, UK

LINE UP: Tom (vocals, guitar) / Matt (guitar, vocals) / Casey (bass) / Darrell (drums)

WHAT’S THE STORY?: At only six songs long, this mini-album seems to pack in every riff the band have thought of since their 2008 inception. It’s a relentless onslaught of shouty vocals, ridiculously catchy tunes, terrifying, full-on drive and urgency, with devastating drumming throughout. There is no real range displayed here, but that’s rather by the by; it’s an imaginative, jangly, thrusting pop-punk set that willn leave your ears buzzing for quite a while.

SOUNDS LIKE: according to the press release, it’s akin to Set Your Goals, Taking Back Sunday and Four Year Strong. They are a band that deserve attention – perhaps medical.

YOU’LL LIKE THIS IF YOU LIKE: loud, frantic, mentalist music that doesn’t take itself too seriously.
