Scoundrels – Scoundrels

NAME: Scoundrels
ALBUM: Scoundrels
DATE: 1January2010

LABEL: Hot Sauce Records

RATING: 5/5

FIVE WORD REVIEW: Sexy weekend on my own.

LOCATION: London

LINE UP: Ned Wyndham (Lead Vocals, Guitar) ‘Guitar’ George (Lead Guitar, Vocals) Josh Martens (Drums, Vocals) Alex Hill (bass)

WHAT’S THE STORY?: With a release date yet to be confirmed, listening to Scoundrels album sampler is tainted only by the wave of anticipation it inevitably incites. The tracks encompass a mix of influences, deriving mostly from the American south; couple this with the bands infectious brand of wit and this album’s going to be a corker. “A sexy weekend all on my own, motherfucker” – Brilliant.

SOUNDS LIKE: A band older than their years: with vocals that sound like a man on his fourth wife and last bottle of whisky…in a really, really good way.

YOU’LL LIKE THIS IF: You like humor and musical credibility in one neat package… a rare treat.
