Shush – Soundtrack of my Life…

NAME: Shush
ALBUM: Soundtrack of my Life…
DATE: 1November2010

LABEL: Ruby Records

FIVE WORD REVIEW: Attitude, action and agression…awesome.

LINE UP: Milena Yum (Vocals,Guitar), Andy Brook (Guitar, BV) , Dean Croney (Bass) , Kev Miler (Drums)

WHAT’S THE STORY?: The debut album from alt-rockers Shush packs a massive punch. With a front woman who offers substance and style; they offer a welcome change to the growing trend of female vocalists wrapped in bits of silk, warbling like mentally unstable pixies. Debut single ‘Do What I Want’ is a highlight, but almost every song on the album is a near perfect package of pop perfection with its roots firmly planted in classic rock.

SOUNDS LIKE: With hints of Blondie, The Kills, The Yeah, Yeah Yeah’s and with more than a passing resemblance to Ash’s Charlotte Hatherley, it seems Shush are set to continue a proud tradition of no nonsense front women.

YOU’LL LIKE THIS IF: You fondly remember Cassandra’s band in Wayne’s World… They make me feel kinda funny like when we used to climb the rope in gym class.
