Slaves To Gravity – Honesty

NAME: Slaves To Gravity
SINGLE: Honesty
DATE: 27September2010

LABEL: Spinefarm Records

FIVE WORD REVIEW: Modern grunge actually becomes enjoyable!

LOCATION: London, England

LINE UP: Tommy Gleeson (vocals, guitar), Toshi Ogawa (bass, backing vocals), Mark Verney (guitar, backing vocals), Jason Bowld (drums)

WHAT’S THE STORY?: In a scene that is over-saturated with fashion-driven music, it is alleviating to hear that Slaves To Gravity have chosen an unadulterated and sincere musical approach with their latest single.

There are no illusions trapped within `Honesty’, as the track is an unapologetic display of hard rock. Previously, Slaves To Gravity have been labelled as a “new-grunge” outfit, but this new song harbours soaring, anthemic qualities that are more accurately compared with Dave Grohl’s Foo Fighters.

SOUNDS LIKE: Foo Fighters with the added swagger of Velvet Revolver.

YOU’LL LIKE THIS IF: You’re appreciative of riffs, and well constructed rock tracks.
