WHAT’S THE STORY?: Releasing the first single from his sophomore album, Stanley Brinks (aka Andre Herman Dune) reinitiates whoever is willing to listen with his simple brand of ‘country indie.’

SOUNDS LIKE: the quasi-prophetic proclamations of some unknown folk singer. Despite some questionable sound quality, this simple release has some genuine appeal, but this blunt single seems like it will have some difficulty carving out any sort of niche. While this music has its appeal, appeal on a grand scale seems out of the question. The walking double bass line and delicate lyrics seem far too fragile to compete with the abrasive aggression popular bands make their selling point.

YOU’LL LIKE THIS IF YOU LIKE: how tolerant you are to poor recording quality, country music and simplicity.
