Ten Bears – Braces Single

NAME: Ten Bears
SINGLE: Braces
YEAR: 2010 (April 19th)
LABEL: East City Records
RATING: 4/5

FIVE WORD REVIEW: Electro dance indie-synth pop.

LOCATION: Manchester, United Kingdom

LINE UP: Sam Hammond, Luke Daniel, Dom Kozubik, Kris Hudson, Timmy Special

WHAT’S THE STORY?:‘Braces’ is the cheerful debut single from Ten Bears. No doubt following in the footsteps of New York’s MGMT – who’ve had huge success with their indie-synth-pop stylings – this Manchester 5-piece offer an upbeat pop tune, which could be verging on electro-pop at its best. Hailing from Salford and signed to East City Records, Ten Bears’ futurist pop is sure to be a hit at the indie disco rivalling 80’s new romantic bands of the past as well as our modern day indie royalty. They proved to be a hit at last year’s Glastonbury as well as at SxSW in Austin Texas. Bound to put you in the mood to hit the town, the single is having a special launch party at the Antwerp Mansion in Manchester next month, so boogie on down.

SOUNDS LIKE: Elctro-disco pop, perfect for a club night.
