The Good The Bad – From 001 to 017

NAME: The Good The Bad
ALBUM: From 001 to 017
DATE: 25October2010

LABEL: unsigned

FIVE WORD REVIEW: Flamenco’s best friend is surf.

LOCATION: Copenhagen, Denmark

LINE UP: Adam Olsson (lead guitar) , Johan Lei Gellett (drums) Manoj Ramdas (Baritone Guitar)

WHAT’S THE STORY?: Describing their genre as “new school surf and flamenco”, you wouldn’t be blamed for being dubious before hearing The Good The Bad’s debut album. However, their description couldn’t be closer to the mark. The combination of flamenco guitar, 60s pop melodies, and the occasional hint of what might be a kazoo, works perfectly to create a unique, sophisticated and downright sexy album.

SOUNDS LIKE: The soundtrack to a saloon bar brawl between The Shadows, The Beach Boys, a couple of matadors and a mariachi band.

YOU’LL LIKE THIS IF: You believe that instrumental albums should not be limited to atmospheric rock bands or piano jazz acts.
