WHAT’S THE STORY?: Recently signed to Epitaph it looks like this band is on the up. Compared to bands liked Bloc Party and At The Drive-In they certainly have their fans. They’ve already played with the likes of Biffy Clyro, Taking Back Sunday and Kids in Glass Houses. They’re Currently touring with ‘A’.
SOUNDS LIKE:This is just the right side of hardcore. Pop enough to sing along to but cutting enough for the tattooed scenesters to at least listen to it in their cars, in secret. There are enough sun soaked songs and dance-along beats to confirm This Ctiy’s place amongst the likes of ‘Kids in Glass Houses’, if you can ignore some of ‘The Automatic’ style vocals. Probably not as credible has they were hoping but mainstream enough for them to have a chance of ‘making it’, whatever that means…
YOU’LL LIKE THIS IF YOU LIKE: Knowing that you can go to their gig and dance without getting your face caved it. Lovely.
