Tu Fawning – I Know You Now (Official Video) from City Slang on Vimeo.

SOUNDS LIKE: Tu Fawning are dipping their toes in the demented, off-kilter pond where Portishead fished. Tin pan pianos, unpolished guitar twangs and eerily effervescent vocals combine to make this a disturbing — yet oddly addictive — track. Carefully entwined with a thoroughly modern video of apathetic expression and contorted violence, ‘I Know You Now’ is beautifully wretched.

YOU’LL LIKE THIS IF: ’12 Bar Blues’-era Scott Weiland, Marilyn Manson’s quieter moments, Beth Gibbons.
