FIVE WORD REVIEW: Muse + Pendulum x geek factor = explosive!
MAIN REVIEW: On a Tuesday night in an unknown venue, you’d not be chastised for expecting a low-key evening. “I feel like walking in circles,” Sleepercurve frontman Dan Walsh ponders, obviously feeling the heat. However, as Tiny Tigers complete their listenable supporting slot of all-female punk (whilst looking like newly qualified drama teachers), headliners Sleepercurve bound up to the stage like pros.
The three-piece launch themselves into their memorable brand of synth-led rock with such fervour, you’d think they were at Brixton Academy. Current single ‘Robots’ gets hands a-clapping and feet a-tapping, whilst a piano-led epic reveals the depth this young trio is capable of. Remniscent perhaps of Muse circa ‘Muscle Museum’, the persistently precise drum beats and voluptuous synths give Sleepercurve a unique sound, which is sure to take them far.
